Santa bought me a Kel-Tec P-11 for Christmas. This is the 9x19 version of the poly frame Kel-Tec. He also found another Galil/Golani to stuff away in the bunker against rising prices. Santa found a couple of cute Ruger 10-22s for the twins to stuff in their stockings. We were down at my favorite gun establishment Whittakers last Saturday afternoon. Lexie saw the Rugers and said, "Hey Dad isn't it time to upgrade my rifle?" Nope! "Well you have more than one gun." She had me there. I pointed out a cute pink one. Nope no pink for her she wanted the blue lam one. Now they only had one blue and the rest were either walnut or black synthetic. I couldn't very well give her the neat blue one and give Grant a black synthetic one. So I had to upgrade more and get two walnut stocked ones. They each have different designs in the stock so that will do the trick.
This will be my grandson's first Christmas. I'm sure that at 5 months he won't remember much. Erica my other daughter turns 21 today. So we have a birthday thing for her at noon. Her husband Bryce works for me. He is a fine young man and is a hard worker. I'm training him in the biz and he is doing well. Time for someone to pick up the slack for the ole man. We are helping them buy a house. The place has an older home with 3 acres. That gives us a place to keep my concrete forms, tools equipment etc. I'll rent space from them to do that.
Hoosier Mom and I are hosting my family's Christmas dinner tomorrow. We will have both of my brothers and their families over. My brothers are even bringing some of their inlaws. We are all from the same community and went to the same chruch so they are family too. We also have some of the other extended family members attending so we expect 50 or more folks tomorrow. We are blessed with a house big enough to handle that many folks.
I want to take this time to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. Like Bill said this is one of the highlights of my day to visit here. I can get weather reports from the far west to the coastal south. I hear about life in the high deserts and the Okie plains. Then we get the perspective of how a Yankee is adapting to life in the hills and hollers. Then we get reports from sunny southern California and even the Land of Enchantment.
