Good morning all. It was a cold start, but a brilliant sunny day. It started at 24, and by 0900 was still only 28 with lots of sun, but a stiff breeze. It is
warming up faster now, heading for upper 40s which is still about 15degrees below normal for us. By the end of the week upper 70s, and possibly 80 over the
weekend. I am holding my lettuce plants in the flats until the hard freeze tonight is over, but they are getting root bound and need to be in the ground. I
covered them last night, but they still froze. I just sprouted some cauliflower plants, and they were frozen too. I hope they will thaw and be alright. I know
spring will be here soon.
It is getting more comfortable outside now, so I had better get my wire brush and get the conveyor ready so I can paint once it warms up. Have a good day.
