Tripping for me is in a car or truck and I tend to keep my feet on the ground and out of airplanes. I figure with all the close calls I had in the USAF I have
used all my good luck up in the air. Safe trips to all though! I also wish all you Dads out there a Happy Father's Day! I took a couple of trips to gun
shows in Charleston, WV and Greensburg, Pa. the last two days logging around 400+ miles in two days again. Charleston was hotter than blue mud and they have no
air and few large fans. You sweated if you thought about moving anywhere and I usually sweat very little but I was soaked through to the skin getting in the
car to leave there. Even the air conditioner in the car complained about the heat but still felt good on the way home. As I said earlier WVChuck was heading
north as I headed south and we greeted each other via phone on the way south and a visual too. I found a reasonable M44 stock I grabbed and a bandoleer of Turk
8mm too. Nothing else so I headed north watching for WVChuck's Jeep heading south. He hit pawn shops and yard sales on the way up and cornered a Dae Woo
pistol. I called him and we met at Amma in an Exon and checked each others purchases out. Off on the road we both went and arrived home at reasonable times for
the next days toils.
He had cutting to do and I was off to Greensburg at the ungodly hour of 4:30AM. I showered and headed out on the road to notice north where I was going was virtually lit up with constant lightning. 60 miles of downpour and lightning at 35 MPH on an interstate I finally ran out of a couple of really heavy thunder boomers! Arrived at show at about 7AM and set up my stuff and looked around at stuff. Cracked stock K31's at $110, 223 ammo 500 rounds at $230, and some other nice stuff but bought nothing and frankly sold nothing!!!!!! I was just not doing too good no matter what I looked at I had reason to not pull the trigger and buy or sell it. Just one of those shows. Was treated to a great feed at my partners family reunion on the way home so all was not lost though. Man I chowed down on some great Polish food and my stomach told me about it all the way home. I even had to stop and get some Tums to make it home and a couple of Tylenol too. Guy showed me a Tokorov without the safety but still import marked at the show but I wasn't wanting to spend $595 for it so I passed. Saw some great guns for great prices but I passed on all of it.
Got home at about 8PM and unpacked at frankly hit the sack as I was tired beyond belief. Sunny here today (hence the SUNday) and supposed to only hit about 79 or so. Wasn't that bad yesterday but I broke down and dragged the shorts out for comfort and to show off my legs a bit, yeah sure! Have chores to do around here today and plan a church trip too. Ed did you mention what kind of car you got? Well that's it for me as I am hungry and need to get on the roof before the heat of day for the gutter cleaning Long overdue. Happy Father's Day again to all! Bill
