Gads another month gone! 60's and it has showered up here and is threatening to do so again. Need to food shop today if the rain cooperates! Almost out of
things so I guess it is time to do the deed and buy something to cook and eat huh? Big holiday weekend coming up and I am ready for anything I guess.
Heard the sound of a real healthy engine last night in the area of home so I traced it down and found my one neighbor is a drag racer and had a 360 cubic inch Chevy over there and was setting up the carb to go racing this weekend. Never knew he was into that and we talked at length and I agreed to do with him sometime in the future. He has just cleared the entire ridge above his house for leveling and later to build a garage and create some kind of back yard over there.
Things downtown last night when I went for my ice cream fix were so quiet I was shocked! No one out and about anywhere! I think a lot of locals have headed out for a long weekend somewhere other than home is seems. Me, I am not sure yet what and where I will be going but I don't intend to sit home all weekend for sure. Friday night if the weather holds good I am heading for a cruise night in Elkins. Saturday is up in the air right now and I am not sure of anything right yet.
Well I have to get cooking here if I want to beat the rain shopping so Y'all be good! Bill
